일반적으로 잘 알려진 Collective nouns는 team, famliy등 여러가지가 있습니다. 그건 자료가 넘치니깐 넘어가고 여기서는 내가 공부하면서 잘 몰랐던 또 다른 형태의 Collective Noun에 대해서 복습 겸 포스팅합니다.
The official grammar name is Collective noun, but I'd like to call "Collective noun-phrase".
Let's have a look.
The following examples might be wierd but those are just for examples.
# Example:
- Ironing and grilling ARE dangerous.
=> Think them indivisually and ARE is used.
- Ironing and grilling IS dangerous.
=> It says "Ironing and grilling" is one group and means doing together.
- Doing together ironing and grilling IS dangerous.
